Welcome to our modern tiny house nestled in Queensberry. Our tiny house is thoughtfully designed with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Only 18 minutes to town, allowing easy access to shopping, dining and entertainment while being out of the hustle and bustle and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The tiny house enjoys stunning views out over the Grandview mountain range offering uninterrupted views and dark-sky nightscapes.

Location:

Situated a mere 18 minutes from Wanaka or 25 minutes from Cromwell, our retreat provides the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. You’ll experience tranquility whilst being within easy reach of amenities and attractions. The tiny house is perfectly situated for guests wanting to escape the hustle and bustle but with easy access to facilities like the Dunstan Cycle Trail, local vineyards (5 minutes walk to the local cellar door), National Transport Museum, local fishing spots etc. A perfect location for exploring what Central Otago has on offer.

The tiny house is situated on a plateau in Queensberry which overlooks vineyards, neighbouring lifestyle properties and 270 degree views out to the Grandview and Bendigo ranges.

Accommodation:

This stunning tiny house boasts modern interiors and amenities including a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy living area all overlooking the picturesque landscape. Our tiny house has two lofts, one bedroom area with Queen sized bed and privacy wall and the other is a cozy nook with floor sofa, perfect for chilling out with a book. The upstairs lofts are not full standing height.

The house has air conditioning and heating as well as a large outdoor deck which extends the living area. The house is fully insulated including underfloor insulation.

The fully equipped kitchen has a gas hob and gas oven as well as a microwave. There is a BBQ for guest use outside. All kitchen utensils are provided.

The bathroom has a heated towel rail and full size shower. Shampoo, conditioner and toilet paper are provided for the first few days of your stay. A washer/dryer combo makes longer stays a breeze.

Note that the stairs to the lofts are steep and the walkway narrow - typical of a tiny house. If you struggle with stairs - this is not the accommodation for you. Similarly, the access into the bedroom loft is narrow and may limit access for some people.

There is unlimited internet access available for using with your streaming services or for video calling.

Breakfast:

We provide breakfast options to last the first few days of your stay. These may vary but generally you can expect Bread, Eggs, Cereals, Toast spreads and Orange juice.

Outdoor Delights:

Relax in style on the deck, enjoy cooler evenings with the patio heater while soaking in the breathtaking views of the Grandview mountain ranges and surrounding vineyards. Whether sipping wine at sunset, enjoying a BBQ or stargazing at night, our outdoor spaces offer a captivating experience. We have a telescope that guests are welcome to borrow on request.

The tiny house is positioned with an aspect to ensure your privacy.

Pet-Friendly:

We understand the importance of including your furry friends in your getaway. Our property is pet-friendly and fully fenced, ensuring a delightful stay for both you and your beloved companion. We do request that pets are not allowed on the furniture or left shut inside the tiny house unattended for extended periods. If you are likely to be away most of the day and leaving your fur-baby behind, our preference is that they are left outside, we’re happy to check in on them on request.

Local experiences:

Explore nearby vineyards (check our guest manual for recommendations), embark on scenic hikes and bike rides, including easy access to the Dunstan Trail. There’s something for everyone in this vibrant and captivating region.

The nearest cellar door (Nanny Goat Wines) is about 5 minutes walk down the hill and we can highly recommend the Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris.

Other Information:

You have full access to the Tiny House and enclosed yard area.  We live onsite however the buildings are separate to ensure your privacy.

We are happy to interact with you as little or as much as you like. Our default will be to assume you'd like privacy.

We both work full time, one of us works from home and generally there is likely to be someone available most of the time if required.

Contact us if you would like to borrow the telescope or have us check in on your furry friend if you are out and about for the day.

You’ll need a car to get around as the property is 18 minutes drive from Wanaka, 25 minutes drive to Cromwell.

Note that we keep a small dog onsite. He is kept in a separate fenced area.
